Edit user roles and permissions

Updated over 4 months ago

As an owner or admin, you can adjust the roles and permissions of other users directly from the Shield dashboard.

This allows for dynamic management of team access to the Shield platform.
Want to learn more about user permission roles? See here.

Here’s a how you can make these changes:

  1. Log in to your Shield account

  2. Navigate to the people page: After logging in, go to the “people” section on the navigation bar to your left.

  3. Select the user: Browse the list of users until you find the one whose permission you need to change. Click on their name to open their profile.

  4. Open the user details: A new side window will appear showing details about the selected user.

  5. Edit role and permissions: Look for the second row in the side window indicating the user’s current role. Click the “edit” button next to it to change the user’s permissions or role.

Recommendation: You can only change the roles of people who currently have the same or lower permissions as you. Ensure you have the necessary permissions before attempting to make changes.
