Welcome to your dashboard's home page.

This page provides a general overview of your performance, offering insights into your engagement levels, activity trends, and comparative benchmarks.

What you'll see:

1 - Activity tracker

The activity tracker shows your posting frequency on a scale from "barely posting" to "posting too much." This helps you measure your activity level on LinkedIn. The average activity level is based on your posting habits over the last 12 weeks.

Navigation: To view your activity trends over time, hover over the certain spikes on the trend line to the right of your activity tracker.

Recommendation: It’s all about consistency. Aim to maintain your activity level around "posting around your usual level" to "posting more than usual.

2 - Engagement board

The engagement board shows how your posts are interacting with the audience by displaying aggregated reactions, comments, and reposts from the last 30 days.

Navigation: To see the engagement stats for a specific day, hover over that day on the performance bar.

Recommendation: Pay attention to engagement spikes as they signify highly successful posts.

3 - Benchmarks

This section shows how your current metrics—such as posts, impressions, and reactions—compare to those from a previous period, offering a quick glance at growth or decline.

Navigation: To change the period you're analyzing, navigate to the top left corner and select your desired timeframe.

Recommendation: Monitor any negative trends in your metrics. While not all declines are concerning, understanding these changes can help you refine your strategy.

4 - Earned Media Value

Earned media value gives you an estimate of how much it would cost to get the same reach (impressions) through paid ads.

The default CPM (Cost Per Mille, or Cost per 1,000 Impressions) is set to $35.

Navigation: You can find the earned media value widget on the Home page, right on your Shield dashboard. To adjust the date range, use the drop-down field in the top left corner.

5 - Top posts

This section features your most successful posts based on the criteria you define, such as impressions, reactions, comments, and reposts.

Navigation: To filter posts by different time periods, simply select the desired timeframe from the options available.

Recommendation: Filtering by impressions can be particularly insightful, because high impressions often come with high engagement.

That’s home for you simply explained,

The Shield team
