"Login with SHIELD" error message troubleshooting

If you have just signed up to Shield and you receive this Error message when trying to login, it is most likely due to the fact that you haven't completed the Verification steps from the onboarding email.

This can get quickly solved by following these steps:

Step 1 — Find the Onboarding email

Go to your email inbox, and search for the onboarding email sent from The Shield Team ([email protected]). Make sure to check your spam folder as well, because it might have ended up there

Step 2 — Verify your account

  1. Log in to LinkedIn (on the profile you wish to connect)

  2. Copy the License key from the onboarding email

  3. Insert the License key to the Chrome Extension

  4. Click Verify. Once you successfully verified your account, your Chrome extension should look like this:

Step 3 — Log in to Shield

  1. Copy username and password from the onboarding email
